Beatrice Cazeau, Esq. is the managing attorney at the Law Offices of Cazeau & Associates, PLLC and currently serves as Special Magistrate for the City of North Miami. She also serves as legal counsel for the Nuisance Abatement Board as well as the Unsafe Structures Board for the City of Miami Gardens. She earned her law degree in 1999 from the New England School of Law in Boston, MA and her undergraduate degree in criminal justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, in New York City. LaKesha B. Shahid graduated from the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law in 2005 after obtaining her Bachelor of Arts in English from University of Alabama-Birmingham in 1999. In law school, LaKesha was a member of Black Law Students Association and Women’s Law Association. Additionally, LaKesha received the Best Paper Awards for Professional Responsibility and Current Topics in Criminal Law. LaKesha practices primarily in the areas of personal injury, employment discrimination, family law and estate planning. LaKesha has had the opportunity o serve as Temporary Judge overseeing involuntary commitment hearings. LaKesha is a member of the Montgomery County Bar Association, American Bar Association, National Bar Association. LaKesha is also a member of the Capital City Bar Association where she serves in the capacity of Recording Secretary and President and Alabama Lawyers Associations where she served as Treasurer.
